A see-saw week lies ahead as the World holds its breath waiting to see the outcome of escalating threats and deadlines between the US and Iran. Trump has now postponed the threat of strikes against Iran’s power infrastructure for five days – thereby reversing todays early gains in oil and grain prices – Matif saw a 6 Euro range in Monday trading already ( now sitting minus Eur 3.00 at time of writing.) Farms are racing through fieldwork at pace with a generally favourable weather forecast ahead. Spring barley UK wide is approaching 50% drilled now on latest estimates.
