Monday Market Briefing - 27th November 2023

Hopefully, with the Americans back at work this week, some life might be breathed back into markets which were extremely dull over the Thanksgiving holiday. We have drifted now towards the lows of the long-term support - so a more positive week should be on the cards and is certainly needed if we are not to break out into new lower levels. Nevertheless, Ukrainian selling continues to weigh heavily on all markets.

Field work has resumed in the south with a number of reports of wheat drilling and spraying going ahead towards the end of the week and most of this week looking like providing opportunities for more work. Hopefully the worst fears for the UK’s cropping prospects will be averted although a journey on the East Coast mainline this weekend revealed the extent of catching up that is will be needed in the north.

Have a good week.
