Monday Market Briefing - 29th November 2021

Markets finished slightly higher last week – a softer feel on Thursday/ Friday not quite removing the gains from earlier on. Did we see the top of this season’s market on Wednesday ? Time will tell. The US was closed for Thanksgiving which held us back, but the emergence of a new Covid strain also struck fear into investors everywhere with the potential for renewed lockdowns suddenly back on the radar.

Demand for grains remains strong. We still have a few gaps for December milling wheat and there will be a busy programme on malting barley in January straight after the Christmas break at record prices. Speak to your farm buyer if you would like a bid for these positions.

Have a good week.
