BYDV advice (Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus)

Despite the weather turning cooler at the start of December, winged aphids are still being found in wheat crops across the south. There has been a distinct lack of repeated hard frosts which would kill the generation of aphids. It may therefore be appropriate to apply a pyrethroid based spray to prevent BYDV spread in crops, depending on when the last spray was applied.
