The technical expertise of our agronomists is second to none. Simply maintaining their BASIS professional qualification involves attending technical courses throughout the year. They are also closely involved with our own annual field trials. These assess a range of seed grown under local conditions using

learned – including assessing new products – help us develop a truly independent perspective that feeds directly into our advice.
This personal expertise is supported by the Muddy Boots software package. As well as giving us the ability to perform margin

per acre analyses for different products, it acts as a fail-safe against recommending prohibited product combinations. Muddy Boots also gives us a full history of the products used on your crop, which can be an invaluable marketing tool when selling to the increasing number of European primary processors now seeking traceability as part of their quality criteria.

Bartholomews offers a full crop protection service, but you’re free to use as much – or as little – as you need. You can buy both advice and products from us as a whole package; you can ask for advice alone; or you can simply use us as a product supplier.
Our crop protection service is managed by a dedicated team at our Chichester premises, so no matter how urgent your query or requirement, we will always have someone on hand to help, and we can deliver next-day.
It’s also reassuring to know that all our agronomists have liability insurance and, in the rare event of product failure, we can call on full back-up and support from the manufacturer.
